Joyful is good

And people are amazing. Watch what happens when a little girl in Spain drops a few coins into a street performer’s hat.

Watch the faces.

Enjoy your day

  1. It is almost impossible not to cry and smile at the same time when you hear Ode to Joy. But to hear it and watch it happen in a happening? Who could ask for more? We have sent a copy of this blog page to all of our students in MUSC113. Listen well.

  2. O, what a wonderful piece! Thank you so much for posting. I’m going to a funeral for the father of friend later today and somehow this puts it all in perspective. Joy for the life that was lived and sorrow at the passing.

  3. Mum and Jack, I’m glad you liked it. Jack, I am sorry for your friend’s loss and yes, there is something about joy that encapsulates all the strength and the fragility of life. I hope your friend’s dad had a really joyful life and that a lot of people will miss him.

  4. Thanks for posting this. I just got back from a milonga in Orange County, CA and though my legs are still tired my spirit has indeed been lifted.

  5. BTW, just read Hild announcement on Nicola’s blog and will leave in an hour to get my copy at Mysterious Galaxy books in SD. You two are doing great things for my spirit these days.
