One way to look at 2009

Here’s my year in Facebook status lines. I like it.

  1. Life rocks (ok, life almost always rocks for me, but I’m just sayin’). My new copy of Solitaire just arrived, along with The Traitor and the Chalice and Robert Plant’s Manic Nirvana CD. I’ve been damn broke this year (b-day gift certificate), so this is a lot of loot. Our 10 yr old cat Orion is on my arm and is flicking his tail across the keyboard as I type one-handed, our 2 yr old lab/heeler/husky is asleep on the couch next to me with all four paws in the air, Cat Bliss is asleep on the coffee table, Aussie mix Teddie is curled up on the hearth, and Kitten Sara is asleep on top of the fish tank. Peace on Earth . . .

  2. I envy your faith in a Facebook nation. Can’t bring myself to join that crowd. Maybe I could tweet instead but then I always have more than 140 characters in my head. Meanwhile, I remember what is said about the gods and our plans and realize, too, it is so wonderful to just celebrate the now,
