Somehow the question of whether the earth is the only inhabited planet seems small by comparason with these.
These are the kinds of things that got me into science fiction. Even as a kid, sitting in a planetarium for the star shows or leafing through a big book on astronomy, I had this overwhelming yearning to GO THERE. My talents do not lie in physics, so I did what I considered the next best thing.
I love looking at these images. Those are the kind of places I used to dream of wandering among as a kid too.
It’s pretty interesting how they create those images too. They are really works of art in my mind because they are not actual photographs and not what we would see if we were there. I think a lot of people don’t realize that, but I suppose it doesn’t matter. I’m amazed at how many there are – how much time it took to create those.
