I will also speak to the truth of this one — the 80’s are hugely popular at the club where I dance, and even if I am only an Irish guy, I do know the words to all those songs (with a particular soft spot in my heart for “Tainted Love”.)
Also, you cannot be a Real Lesbian in a dance club unless you can do the Electric Slide. I myself cannot (yet), but I’m working on it!
Oh, no. I find I’ve just lost my Real Lesbian credentials. Solution = avoid dance clubs.
I do not consider myself bi-sexual, but omniverous. However, the objects of my crushes do have to be over the age of consent, and that’s a judgment call.
I have to say that I like watching some line dancers but dancing a repetitious, scripted routine for a whole song just about kills me. It ain’t dancing. On the other hand, I hear you can meet a lot of lawyers that way.
BTB, I just finished reading Solitaire and wish that I could read more of Dangerous Spaces type stories, too. I really would like to read more about the girl warrior and the King. Gotta go.

@Barbara — well, I think legal age of consent is always a good place to start (another grin). Seriously, though — one of my hot buttons is adults having sexual relationships with people under the age of consent. I’ve got no problem with teenagers bonking each other like bunnies — mutual experimentation is part of the age — but I very much dislike adults turning to legally underage people for sex. I think there’s way too much of a power, experience, life differential. I don’t believe that 99.9% of adolescents’ brains are sufficiently hard-wired to make a fully informed decision about such relationships, but adults by god should be.
