Exuberant roses

Who knew roses could be such rebels? It’s November, dude? We don’t care! We wave our pink selves at your cold weather!

It’s 38 degrees Farenheit outside and I am stone in love with our exuberant roses.

Rebel roses fly their pink flags...

... and spit in the eye of November!

  1. 🙂 LOL at Garden Viagra. I bet you could market that, Rory.

Does this fall/winter feel really warm in comparison to last year’s? I think so. But my thermostat is always broken so far up North.

Those roses are beautiful. And so is your garden. I miss having a green patch to tend to.

  2. “A name? What’s in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” Roses do not smell sweet. They smell of earth, water and fire. They smell of life. Maybe the only good effect of global warming is that your roses are blooming on November 25. And who cares. They are exquisite!

  3. Hi Kelley,

The roses are gorgeous and quite defiant. I think the devas must love you! Don’t go to my website. It has remained barely started for a year and a half. Sigh….

  4. Jeanne, so lovely to see you here! I think your site will be wonderful if and when you choose to move forward with it (for those who are reading this, Jeanne is an awesome Woman Of Iris (an iris expert, grower and hybridizer but I think “Woman of Iris” says it all…).

The thing about our garden is that I love it from a distance. I am a rotten gardener and don’t deserve the gift of these lovely November roses, but I am so, so thrilled to have it. Perhaps the devas are just being kind!
