A week of clouds and gray and cooler weather, and, the last two days, rain rain rain rain rain. And then today — look what the universe has given us!

And so today I was able to get sun on my legs while I dug up dandelions, and have lunch on the deck with my sweetie (and here I was about to put away the deck umbrella!), and walk with my neighbor putting Block Watch flyers in mailboxes (yes, I am co-captain of the block watch because apparently I have a need to be responsible for everything in the world!). We heard someone’s chickens cluckerating together; we heard one of our two local musicians practicing his drums. The dirt smelled warm and rich from the rain and the sun. I have abandoned all pretense of editing and am working on my new screenplay and listening to music, and outside my window is blue, blue sky.
It’ll rain later. That’s okay. What a beautiful, unexpected gift this day has been!
Yay!
Gorgeous shots.
but
I feel all spooky because there’s still an hour and a half of Sept. 17, 2010 to go where I am right now.
@Sly — where are you?
How’s the screenwriting coming? Did you finish the one you were working on earlier in the year?
@Dianne — Thanks for asking. The one in development is never really finished, it turns out (grin), but it is finished-for-now. I’m still working on a new original screenplay, but not the one I started in the beginning of the year. I’ve changed stories and directions.
I’m still learning how to find my way into a good screen story, and it takes me longer to realize that I’m on a wrong track than it does with fiction. So it goes.
How is your screenwriting coming?
Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long …
Sounds like a song, doesn’t it? 😉
Haven’t written or rewritten anything in a long while. If I could figure out where I’m going, it’d help. ;D Good luck with the new script!
Kelley I’m at home in Anchorage. Day before yesterday when I was writing to you your stuff all said the 18th when it was really the 17th. It was kind of spooky weird..
A bit of news, Sheetal Sheth one of the actresses in the Enlightment-Productions movies I can’t Think Straight and The World Unseen is going to be here and Krisi, (my PCA and pusher of the wheel chair) are going to the screening of the movies on the 8th of Oct and then there’s a schmooze fest on the Sunday, the 10th which we are also going to. I’m so excited, I hope the turn out is huge because it’s a fund raiser for Lisa Ray the other actress in the movies to help pay her medical bills since she was diagnosed with Mulriple Myeloma last year. She’s had a stem cell transplane and is doing fairly good.
Another wee bit of news, I got a brand new wheel chair with a holder for my portable oxygen tank so I can go out. We inaugurated it on the 15th to go see Amy Roloff at the Wendy Williamson Theatre on the UofA campus.it’s way cool! 🙂
Sly
Sorry for the double post today but well I’m brain damaged and I make a lot of mistakes. I forgot to heap loads of right on way to go’s on you Kelley for your screenplay. It must be fun to stretch yourself that way. Don’t let it drive you crazy though when it isn’t working or better yet may it always flow the way you want it to. It would great to realize the outcome of a movie that we can all see or have (buy).
