Blinking at the weather…

Right now it is snowing with lightning and thunder.

Soon the comet will pass overhead and we’ll all turn into zombies (and sexy points to anyone who has seen that movie…)

  1. I’ve watched Night of the Comet. Blame it on my film-school friend Luis, who forced me to sit through every undead-themed movie ever made.

  2. Adrian, thank you for the link. Thundersnow! Who knew? Very cool to read about it. It really was something….

Tassoula, me too. Someday spring will be here…

Barbara, I like pea soup fog as long as I don’t have to drive in it. It really is like being inside a blanket or something, visually and acoustically. There are times in our little ravine cul-de-sac where I can look out and not see the houses around us. So mysterious.

Jennifer, you’d find the snow here really interesting. It’s quite…. large and chunky and very cold.

And you all get sexy points for being Generally Cool People, but today’s special extra bonus sexy points go to Karina for having seen Night of the Comet. Which is actually one of my favorite undead movies, honestly, especially for the line “We’re going to play a game now. It’s called ‘Scary Noises’!”

  3. ROTFL! Night of the Comet is one of my favorite campy horror films. (Though nothing will ever top Night of the Lepus for sheer scientific absurdity…and the strange floppy gait of the sabre-tooth bunnies!)

  4. I still think the scariest film, which is not exactly in the “living dead” category, but close, is The Invasion of the Body Snatchers. What if your mother(or fill in the blank) wasn’t really your mother? Creepy.

  5. Barbara, yes indeedy. Very scary movie. The 1978 Donald Sutherland/Brooke Adams version is my favorite. Also creepy: The Thing.

Phoenix, Night of the Lepus! So funny. There is also a horror movie about feral zombie barn cats that is pretty hilarious.
