Here are some of the keyword searches that brought people to my site in October and November.

• The skin-seekers are still with us, and they’re getting more creative: beautiful naked people, beautiful people naked (not necessarily the same thing), my naked parents, naked blue people, naked fairy girl, private naked emo pics (now there’s an image).

  Special mention goes to werewolf transformation naked nude female girl.

• wil wheaton nude

  I had to call this one out because I enjoy Wil Wheaton’s work (and his blog) and was amused to find someone coming here to look for naked pictures of him.

  Wil, I assure you I would never advertise those pictures, I treasure them too much (big grin).

  It still amazes me that I get the entire naked internet crowd because of one post.

  This month every high school in the US is assigning the same essay topics. Invisibility is still the clear winner — there are scads of kids crawling the web looking for essays to steal. Maybe they haven’t figured out yet that on the internet, everyone’s invisible already. Second place is a tie between The Haunting of Hill House and Dandelion Wine.

  Another essay topic, I’m guessing. You won’t find a deep analysis here, kids, just the quote because I love it so.

  This is just fantastic. The internet is so full of people.

  This actually makes me think about how much of the sex in science fiction isn’t really sexy. This person may be in for a long search…
• second hand latex clothing
  Okay, ew.

  I just did that last night, we’re watching Queer As Folk (US) again on DVD. Brian broke Justin’s heart, but there was some great kissing.

  Yes. It does. In whatever way you do it.

  Exactly.

  Ah, that’s a hard place. You need different talents to be a writer. Observation, imagination, storytelling, the ability to find a center that is different from your own and put words to it. And the talent of the room.

  Neve, never, never too late.

  At every age.
• reasons for guys to dance
  Because it’s fun, and some of y’all are so pretty when you do it.

  I feel badly that I had so little to offer this charming search. I hope they found their way to a butter place.

  Because, really, what more is there to say?

Here are some of the keyword searches that brought people to my site in September.

  Yep, the naked people are still leading the keyword count. Do you think this is it for me? Am I destined for an eternity of visits by folks looking for naked people?

  Apparently, the answer to the above question is a little more personal than I realized.

  And the naked discussion that started all this a few months ago continues over in Hollywoodland, where it’s all about same-sex nudity Shocking! Icky! Titillating! You decide… although it’s interesting to me how many men in the discussion are uncomfortable with male nudity on screen.

  Speaking of male nudity. Wow, people’s fantasies. I wonder if this is a boy who wants to be humiliated by girls, or a girl who’s on a mission. Either way, I wish them well.

  Honey, if you don’t tell the internet your name, it doesn’t know who you are…
• essay on if i were invisible for a day, a story about what I would do if I were invisible, all i need to know about the book dandelion wine, and more….

  There are dozens of variations on “do my homework” searches for essays about invisibility, or about Dandelion Wine. I wonder if my posts helped? I wonder if some students wrote they would walk around naked and have public sex, and ended up having a little chat with the school counselor…

  That happened to me one time (the chat, not the writing about public sex…). That’s a story I’ll have to tell one of these days, although it’ll be one of those where I’ll have to take my parents off into a corner of the internet first and brace them.

  Hmm. Okay. I’ve had some fun imagining where this one could possibly come from, or be going…

  What would you say? Seriously. Would you undertake a deep psychological conversation about the borderline between humanity and monstrosity, or would you just want to know what people’s livers really taste like?

  It means panting, gasping. It means that you are breathless with…. whatever. With running hard, with fear, with laughter, with desire, with the need for oxygen or music or someone’s touch. It’s a damn good word, don’t you think? Let’s all be jadeando today.

  Oh, good. I’m glad people are looking for April Gornik, she is awesome. Note to that last person, I’m pretty sure she uses a paintbrush. But maybe that’s not what you meant. Maybe what you meant is that she paints with her heart and soul and a particular clear vision of a beautiful world.
• go go dancer jobs, i’ll be dance
  Flashdance may have a lot to answer for, but I always loved the line about the dancer becoming the dance. That’s what I like to do.
• happy saturday poem
  This one made me smile. One of my first favorite songs was Saturday in the Park. It still sounds good. Such a happy song for a Saturday, maybe it will do for this person if they come back looking.
• afraid to let me sadness encompass thee
  This one made me want to hug this person. May the sadness never encompass us completely or for long.
• pint
  I googled this and got 20,900,000 hits. One of my Friday pint posts is hanging out there, grinning at number 10. It’s a funny old internet. But I’m glad that people seem to be enjoying the pints.

  This is another one that people search out regularly. I’m happy to have it here, and continue to be grateful to Michael Ventura for writing it in the first place, and giving me permission to post it here. He’s so good, go read him.

  Then say something so wonderful that they will never, ever forget it. And what would that be? There’s a thing to think about…

  I have no idea what this means, and normally it would be a candidate for this month’s WTF award, but no, because….

  I swear I never make these up. I don’t have to. They just show up in all their wacky glory.

Aren’t people interesting?

Here are some of the keyword searches that brought people to my site in August.

• Naked people photos, people naked in public, naked beach people, beautiful naked people, happy naked people, real naked people….
  If I had a dollar for every person who came here looking for pictures of naked people, I could buy that Mac we’ve been wanting.
   
  And here’s a thing…I just googled “real naked people” out of curiosity to see how many hits there were. There were 1,170,000 (yep, 1.7 million hits) — and my blog post about naked people is number 6. Why? I don’t know. It’s a mystery.
   
  It’s interesting that so many of us want to see naked strangers. Perhaps these searchers are all life studies art students (hah, probably not). Are we in search of sexual fantasy material? Are we curious how our bodies compare to others? Do we admire these naked people, lust after them, want to be them, or maybe just want to get a look at what it’s like to lie in the sun in nothing but our own skin…
   
  Best naked people searches: naked people high (sounds great!), forced to go nude at beach (not so great… embarrassment and sunburn!) and — I swear — as naked as when one was born in a state of nature in one’s skin in the nude nude. That one pretty much covers all the bases.
• become invisible nobody can see you, sorry we thought you were invisible, what would i do if invisible…
  A dollar for each of the invisibility crowd would certainly get me an iPod. I would have suspected at least one homework assignment in there except that it’s August…
   
  The winner in this category: how to know if someone is invisible. I keep trying to imagine where this question comes from or where it’s going…

  Just for grins, I also googled “cats” and got 220,000,000 hits. Now seriously, how far down the list did this person have to go to get to my site? All night, at least.
• nice way to say be quiet
  Please, be quiet… Okay, I couldn’t resist that, but I mean no disrespect. It’s hard in this culture to turn around in the movie theatre and tell someone to stop chattering — there’s that burst of are we gonna have a fight now adrenaline that really yanks me out of the immersive movie experience, you know?
• why do people strip naked for sex
  Um…If you are under the age of 11, go ask your parents to give you more information about sex. If you are 11 – 18 or so, well, trust me, it will become clear very soon. If you’re over 18 then I think you should find someone who makes your knees weak and ask them…

  For whatever reason, this actually makes me a bit sad. I guess if that’s what you want, I hope you get it.

  Did we go to high school together? And were you way cooler than me? I bet you were — I’ve loved the song for more than 30 years and it would never have occurred to me to think of it that way.

  The thing that gets me about this search are the words “make her”…
