It’s funny, it’s not the heat that appeals to me (she says as the temperature in Seattle hits 99 and is still rising…). It’s the water and the sky, the space of it all. I imagine a lovely cool breeze, no sound but sea and birds and wind on the sand, a cool drink, a good book. I imagine walking down that long stretch of sand and feeling slow and peaceful and untrammeled. The world is such a beautiful place, and honestly I get tired sometimes of sharing it with most other people….
Maybe I’ll have a lucid dream tonight…
how did you get into my backyard?

Me too. Sometimes I think that that kind of space is all I really need.
