Even for Alan Rickman, whom I think is a wonderful actor (and watch this space for more, I have a post brewing that includes a love note to <i>Truly, Madly, Deeply</i>). Stacy -- Yes, it's one of the things I love about the show; it feels so true. That's something that television and films can do so much more easily (and IMO better) than books -- put me in the absolute truth of a place. Because all the small, authoritative background details are hitting me simultaneously as I move through the world with the characters. And there is certainly a whole world inside <i>Slings and Arrows</i>. Honestly, I wish everyone would watch it. It's been ages since I enjoyed television this much. From what I hear from the people that have worked the festival, it’s bang-on accurate. The only thing I don’t love about the show is the length of each season.
