As well as scary and boring and sometimes just damn frustrating. I was never so easily annoyed by other people as I was when I lived alone. Although that's perhaps a chicken-or-egg scenario.... I have lived solo voluntarily, and I have had solo living imposed on me. In both situations, it was an intense learning experience. I scared myself. I bored myself. Mostly, I got to know myself. I found out what was likeable and what wasn't. It taught me that even though I live alone, I need other people. I need to do things for other people. I guess we get back to love after all.
